Methadone Clinics, Policing, and the Role of Nurses


Shoshi Aronowitz, PhD, CRNP reflects on the ways that the current methadone system asks nurses to police the behavior of their patients. Encouraging nurses to push back on this framework, Dr. Aronowitz advocates for the field to "reimagine new roles for ourselves that involve partnering with our patients rather than policing them".
