CECPR Director Zachary Meisel, MD was recently awarded the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine 2020 Research Achievement Award for his work "Comparative Effectiveness of Two Individualized Acute Pain Treatment Communication Tools: The Life Stories for Opioid Risk Reduction in the Emergency Department (STORRIED) Study". Dr. Meisel and his research team conducted a multi-site RCT to understand how best to communicate risks related to opioid medications to a population of Emergency Department patients.
