RCT Tests Gamification to Increase Physical Activity Among Veterans

Dr. Anish Agarwal read a RCT studying the impact that gamification has on increasing physical activity among veterans who are categorized as being overweight or obese. The research team found that when gamification, when combined with social support and financial incentives that were reduced if goals were not achieved, modestly increased physical activity in this group.
